2010 Team Poppy Training Schedule |
July 10-11, 2010
AO Olympus: Lake County, California
Uniform of the day: Early war, Jungle Fatigues. OD. This months practice will involve land navigation in unknown areas. Team will locate 5 ammo cans via map and compass coordinates during both day and night evolutions. |
August 14-15, 2010
AO Hawthorne: Placer County, California
Uniform of the day: Early war, Jungle Fatigues. OD. This months practice will involve radio communications and keyhole recon. Team will locate 5 NVA targets via provided coordinates during both day and night evolutions. After intel is gathered, Team will correctly call in extraction. If extraction is called incorrectly, Team will hike out of AO. |
September 11-12, 2010
AO Leatherneck: Solano County, California
Uniform of the day: Late war, ERDL and mixed fatigues. This months practice will involve STINGRAY patrols. Team will learn to hunt for sign, set up and spring hasty ambushes, and extract under fire. |
October 9-10, 2010
AO Robins Nest: Placer County, California
Uniform of the day: Late war, ERDL and mixed fatigues. This months practice will involve KEYHOLE patrols. Team will learn observation, following enemy while maintaining a concealed position and the art of finding the perfect harbor site. |

AO Dogleg: Lake County, California
Uniform of the day: Service Alpha, Undress Blue. Team Poppy remembers the history of the US Marine Corps. The team will participate in MCHA rememberance of the Marine Corps Birthday.

AO Dogleg: Lake County, California
Uniform of the day: Early war, Jungle Fatigues. OD. This months practice will involve rifle practice. Each man will report to the range for testing on the field KD course. Targets will be engaged at 100, 200, and 600 meters. |
