I was the first to arrive @ the AO. I had hoped to find water at forest service campsites nearby to fill my water tank. By chance, I found two other Cold Vodka participants, Ray & Rob, at the Ice House boat launch parking lot. All forest service water spigots had already been shut down for the winter season. I thought it might be helpful for lost boys like Ray & Rob to have some photos of the AO entrance, parking, and camping site; in case someone who has never been to the Hawthorne AO before is the first to arrive at some future Hawthorne OP. This is the best ASR AO anywhere. I have been there 3 times, first on a combined Cimmerians & ASR OP, then for a week of summer camping at Ice House, then for Operation Cold Vodka. There are no Airsoft locations better than this (that includes Boggs Mountain Demonstration Forest):
